Inicialmente concebido pela mente de Vinnie Paz dos Jedi Mind Tricks, tendo como objectivos do projecto a constante interacção evolutiva de proporções épicas entre vários Emcee's, Produtores e DJ's, foi com este propósito que nasceu o colectivo Army Of The Pharaohs. O primeiro alinhamento do mesmo fora constituido pelos membros Jedi Mind Tricks, Bahamadia, 7L & Esoteric, Virtuoso e Chief Kamachi, lançando aquele que seria o teaser do seu futuro trabalho The Five Perfect Exertions, em 98.
Com o passar dos anos, o colectivo sofreu alterações e nunca chegou realmente a lançar o seu grande album de estreia, muito devido a projectos a solo em que os seus membros se encontravam envolvidos. É agora em 2006 que os Army Of The Pharaohs preparam-se para lançar no mercado o seu album de estreia, The Torture Papers. Actualmente constituidos por emcee's de renome do HipHop underground e por talentos em ascenção, o grupo tem por membros nomes como, Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks) , 7L&Esoteric, Outerspace, Chief Kamachi, Apathy, Celph Titled, King Syze, Des Devious, Reef The Lost Cauze, e Faez One.
